DeSoto ISD is inviting community members to participate in an upcoming virtual town hall focused on charter school impact statements.

Nominations for the Class of 2026 Hall of Honor will open December 8, 2025. This program annually recognizes notable DHS alumni and community members who have rendered meritorious service to the district.

DeSoto ISD hosted the second session of the 2025–2026 Best in Southwest Cross-District Literacy Learning Network on September 24 at Cockrell Hill Elementary.

The 2024 Annual DeSoto ISD Superintendent’s Toy Drive benefits the Chocolate MINT Foundation’s annual Christmas Candyland event. The toy drive will open Nov. 18 and conclude Dec. 13.

The DeSoto ISD School Board invites its school community to participate in a community conversation regarding proposed names for district facilities. The public town hall will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Mon., November 4, 2024.

District staff will engage in neighborhood walks to build relationships with community members and families starting Aug. 2 through Aug. 9 , ahead of the first day of school.
