
During a ceremony held the evening of May 24, 2021, DeSoto ISD Board and administration recognized the 2021 district retirees who, together, represent more than 300 years of service in education and a wealth of knowledge, experience and wisdom.

Each retiree was presented a token of appreciation from the district in a special program with remarks from then-Acting Board President DeAndrea Fleming and Superintendent of Schools Dr. D’Andre J. Wever who thanked each retiree and commended them for their service.
Event emcee and Director of Communications Tiffanie Blackmon-Jones closed the ceremony stating, “While you may be retiring, please know you will ALWAYS be a valuable member of this DeSoto ISD Family.”
DeSoto ISD thanks the 2021 retirees for the giving of their time, effort and expertise to serve students and their families and invited them to return to serve as a mentor or volunteer.
