DeSoto High School Student Council has joined forces with the American Red Cross for a life-saving event – a blood drive to assist patients with sickle cell disease. About 100,000 people in the United States have sickle cell disease, with 1 out of every 365 Black or African American births being impacted. People with sickle cell disease may need as many as 100 units of blood each year.
Help spread the word to assist these students as they perform this valuable community service.
