The DeSoto Independent School District Board of Trustees invites its school community to attend its next series of upcoming meetings for January 2024. The meetings will be held at 6:30 p.m., in the district’s Instructional Support Center located at 200 E. Belt Line Road in DeSoto.
During January, there will be two board meetings on the third and fourth weeks of the month. Due to the upcoming observance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, the student data progress board meeting scheduled for the third Monday, has been rescheduled to the following Tuesday, January 16, 2024. The district's business board meeting will be held as normal on January 22, 2024.
Additionally, this month is School Board Appreciation Month and the district will take a moment to celebrate the DeSoto ISD School Board during the January 22 board meeting.
As is regular protocol, the board meetings are open to the public, and public comments are accepted on agenda and non-agenda items when entered according to the stated criteria.
The DeSoto ISD Board of Trustees meets twice a month and hosts town hall meetings bimonthly. The schedule of the district’s regular board meetings and the current agendas for the board meetings and town hall are on the Board of Trustees webpage of the DeSoto ISD website, www.desotoisd.org.
