Summer Meal Program

To ensure that children continue receiving delicious and nutritious meals throughout the summer DeSoto ISD will continue its annual free summer meals program.  The free meals are made possible through the federally funded Summer Food Service Program

Participating families do not have to apply register or provide identification. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) funds the Summer Meals Program – including the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) and the Seamless Summer Option (SSO). The Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) administers the Summer Meals Program in Texas.



From June 5 through June 29, all kids up to age 18 and adults with special needs up to age 21 can receive complimentary breakfast and lunch on Mondays through Thursdays at the following locations:

DeSoto High School Freshman Center, 600 Eagle Dr., DeSoto, TX 75115
Dates: June 5 through June 29

Times:

Breakfast: 8:00 a.m.- 8:30 a.m.

Lunch: 11:00 a.m. -12:30 p.m.



McCowan Middle School, 1500 Majestic Meadows, Glenn Heights, TX75154
Dates: June 5 through June 29

Times:

Breakfast: 8:00 a.m.- 8:30 a.m.

Lunch: 11:00 a.m. -12:30 p.m.



Katherine Johnson, 1200 Academy Way, DeSoto, TX 75115
Dates: June 5 through June 29

Times:

Breakfast: 8:00 a.m.- 8:30 a.m.
