Recently, DeSoto ISD unveiled its new strategic plan designed to reshape educational experiences in the district and a community-wide initiative focused on collaboration and interdependent work to improve and elevate the DeSoto and Glenn Heights communities.
The district invites members of the community to the “Be The Future” Big Shifts Town Hall at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 29 moderated by Glenn Heights Mayor Pro Tem, Sonja A. Brown. The virtual event will take place via Zoom and will be live-streamed on the DeSoto ISD Facebook page.
DeSoto ISD Superintendent of Schools Dr. D'Andre J. Weaver will share specific updates regarding school structures, the district’s plan to provide engaging, relevant student experiences, and enhanced academic offerings and supports. Attendees will gain a better understanding of DeSoto ISD's strategic pathway to "Be the Future."
“As we strive to ‘Be the Future,’ this new strategic plan shifts us toward greater alignment ensuring everything we do is tied to our Board Goals, developed with consensus, widely communicated, and clearly tied to advancing the new vision and mission of DeSoto ISD,” said Weaver.
