DeSoto Independent School District and DeSoto High School have planned a week of exciting activities to engage families and communities in the school and community tradition of homecoming, an opportunity to welcome alumni and families home to celebrate the excitement of fall and football.

This year’s theme is “Gold Speaks Louder than Words: 2017 Gold Rush,” a tribute to DHS’ state championship programs and winning culture across the district.

“DeSoto is such a fun and involved community,” said DeSoto ISD Superintendent of Schools Dr. David C. Harris. “We really get excited about the opportunity to come together to celebrate rich traditions like homecoming where we welcome home alumni and celebrate all the great things that take place here in this town and this district.”

The week’s events include the homecoming dance, a community walk, the annual homecoming parade and pep rally, and, of course, the game!
