DeSoto ISD Receives Generous School Supply Donation from St. Vincent Center

DeSoto Independent School District has received a significant donation of
school and classroom supplies from the Society of St. Vincent de Paul of North
Texas, providing a timely boost ahead of the 2025–2026 academic year.
Delivered by the organization’s Lancaster-based St.
Vincent Center, the donation includes a wide range of essential materials, from
backpacks, hygiene kits, and learning tools to classroom-specific instructional
aids and organizational supplies. These resources will support both students
and educators across the district, helping reduce economic barriers for
families and ensuring that teachers are equipped to create effective,
well-prepared learning environments.
The supplies will be distributed at the upcoming open
house events at district campuses, giving families direct access to the
materials as they prepare for the school year.
This contribution supports DeSoto ISD’s broader goals of
educational equity and student readiness. The district recognizes this effort
as a meaningful example of community partnership that directly benefits student
achievement and instructional success.
As the new school year approaches, DeSoto ISD remains
committed to collaborating with local organizations to ensure every student is
prepared to thrive.
