DeSoto Independent School District (DeSoto ISD) announces the cancellation of the Meet & Greet event scheduled for Tuesday, March 3, introducing the district’s new Interim Superintendent, Brent S. Mitchell.
The event will be rescheduled for a later date to avoid conflict with Election Day. District leaders made the decision in recognition of the importance of civic participation and to ensure that community members have the opportunity to focus on voting.
Interim Superintendent Brent S. Mitchell encourages all eligible voters in DeSoto, TX 75115, to use this time to actively engage in the electoral process. Community members are encouraged to review election information and locate polling sites by visiting Dallas County Votes at https://www.dallascountyvotes.org.
“We look forward to connecting with our DeSoto ISD families and community partners very soon,” said Mitchell. “In the meantime, I encourage everyone to make their voices heard by participating in Election Day.”
Updated details regarding the rescheduled Meet & Greet will be shared with the community in the coming days.
