DeSoto ISD Board of Trustees Invite Community to Attend Upcoming October Meetings

The Board of Trustees of DeSoto Independent School District
will hold its upcoming October meetings at the district's Instructional Support
Center in the Dalton L. James Administration Board Room located at 200 E.
Belt Line Rd., DeSoto, TX 75115.

20, 2025: Monthly Progress Monitoring Meeting
- October
22, 2026: Town Hall featuring Student Leaders
- October
27, 2025: Monthly Business Meeting
These public meetings will provide an opportunity for open
dialogue between the Board and the community. Key agenda items include:
- Student
academic achievement recognitions
- Student
academic data progress reviews
- Review
of superintendent progress measures and constraints
- Board
monitoring review and discussions
- Business
updates and more
All meeting agendas are available online and posted prior to
each meeting for detailed information regarding each meeting’s proceedings. All
meetings are broadcast
live and are open to the public.
In a continued effort to promote student voice and
leadership, student leaders along with their campus principals have been
invited to attend and actively participate in the meeting.
“Open communication between our Board, students, and
community members is essential as we work together to shape the future of
DeSoto ISD,” said Board President Chasiti McKissic. “We look forward to
the presence of our community stakeholders at district board meetings.”
DeSoto ISD encourages all community members to attend and
engage in the district’s regular monthly goal progress monitoring and business
meetings which shape the district’s future. The regular progress
monitoring meeting exists to review student data and achievement on the third
Monday of every month and the regularly recurring business meeting takes place
every fourth Monday of each month.
