DeSoto ISD Launches Community V.O.I.C.E. to Strengthen Parent and Community Engagement Amid New State Education Laws

In response to new requirements from the 89th Texas Legislative Session, where lawmakers passed 107 new laws impacting public education, DeSoto Independent School District has launched Community V.O.I.C.E. (Valuable Observations and Insight from our Connected Environment), a new tool designed to give parents, guardians, alumni, and community stakeholders a direct line to district leadership.
Community V.O.I.C.E. provides families and stakeholders with a timely, responsive, and transparent space to share feedback, ask questions, raise concerns, celebrate successes, and contribute ideas that strengthen DeSoto ISD.
“Community V.O.I.C.E. creates an intentional avenue for parents and community members to connect with the district in meaningful ways,” said [Superintendent’s Name], Superintendent of DeSoto ISD. “As we work to align with new legislative requirements and continue building on our mission of educational excellence, this platform allows us to listen, respond, and act in partnership with our community.”
