DeSoto ISD students and families are invited to explore possibilities beyond graduation during the district’s annual College and Career Fair on Thursday, Sept. 17, at DeSoto High School.
The event will take place from 6-8 p.m. and is designed to connect scholars with information and resources that can help them begin planning for college, careers and other postsecondary opportunities.
The College and Career Fair gives students an opportunity to explore different pathways, ask questions and learn more about the options available after high school. Whether scholars are considering a four-year university, a two-year college, career and technical education, military service or entering the workforce, the event encourages students to think intentionally about what comes next.
Families are also encouraged to attend and take part in conversations about college and career planning. Exploring options together can help students better understand admissions expectations, career fields, academic pathways and the steps they can take now to prepare for future opportunities.
For younger scholars, the fair can serve as an early introduction to the possibilities available beyond the classroom. For high school students, particularly those approaching graduation, the event provides another opportunity to turn future goals into actionable plans.
