DeSoto ISD Celebrates Amber Terrace PTA National School of Excellence Recognition
Amber Terrace Early Childhood Learning Center PTA has been named a 2025-27 National PTA School of Excellence, recognizing the campus community’s work to strengthen family-school partnerships and create a welcoming environment for students and families.
The National PTA School of Excellence program recognizes PTAs and schools that work together to improve the educational experience and well-being of students. Participating school communities gather feedback from families, identify areas for growth and implement strategies designed to strengthen family engagement and relationships among parents, educators and community members.
The recognition marks an important milestone for Amber Terrace, where the PTA was newly organized during the 2025-26 school year. In a short period of time, PTA leaders, campus staff, families and community members worked together to build an organization centered on supporting the campus’ youngest scholars and their families.
Throughout the year, the Amber Terrace PTA created opportunities for families to connect with the campus and one another while encouraging parents, staff and community members to play an active role in student success.
The designation reflects DeSoto ISD’s commitment to building meaningful partnerships with families and creating school communities where parents and caregivers are connected, informed and engaged in their children’s educational experiences.
Earning the National PTA School of Excellence designation also highlights the impact that can result when schools and families work together toward a shared goal of supporting students.
DeSoto ISD congratulates Amber Terrace Early Childhood Learning Center, its PTA leadership, campus staff, families and community partners on earning the national recognition.
