
DeSoto Independent School District is proud to announce that
DeSoto High School’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) program will be
represented at the upcoming 2025 DeSoto Vantage Day, a community event
presented by the Denise Valentine Foundation. DeSoto ISD Career and
Technical Education Director Melinda Pugh will represent the district as
part of the Skilled Trades & Career Expo portion of the program.
The event will be held on Thursday, December 18, from
5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Next Level Giants Event Center,
located at 900 N. Polk St., Suite 170, DeSoto, TX 75115.
Designed as a dynamic community engagement experience,
DeSoto Vantage Day features a range of activities and resources including:

This year’s event will also feature a special appearance by WFAA’s
Rebecca Lopez.
DeSoto ISD’s participation reflects the district’s
commitment to preparing scholars for college, career, and life success by
connecting them with real-world opportunities, industry partners, and
innovative learning pathways. Director Melinda Pugh will highlight the
district’s expanding CTE offerings and share information about programs that
equip students with valuable skills in high-demand fields.
