
The Board of Trustees of DeSoto Independent School District
will hold a Two-Way Communication Meeting on Thursday, September 18,
2025, beginning at 6:30 PM. The meeting will take place in the
Dalton L. James Administration Board Room located at 200 E. Belt Line Rd.,
DeSoto, TX 75115.
This public meeting will provide an opportunity for open
dialogue between the Board and the community. Key agenda items include:
- Discussion
of the 2025–2030 Board Goal Development Process
- Discussion
of the 2025–2030 Board Constraint Development Process
The order of agenda items may vary. The meeting will be broadcast
live and is open to the public.
In a continued effort to promote student voice and
leadership, student leaders along with their campus principals have been
invited to attend and actively participate in the meeting.
“Open communication between our Board, students, and
community members is essential as we work together to shape the future of
DeSoto ISD,” said Board President Chasiti McKissic. “We look forward to hearing
diverse perspectives and collaborating on goals that will guide our district
for the next five years.”
DeSoto ISD encourages all community members to attend and
engage in this important conversation shaping the district’s future and reminds
the community that the Board hosts its regular progress monitoring meeting to
review student data and achievement the third Monday of every month and
conducts a regularly recurring business meeting every fourth Monday of each
month.
