
DeSoto Independent School District (DISD) proudly announces the launch of the DeSoto High School Girls Flag Football team 2026 season, led by Head Coach Briana Stanley. Marking a major milestone for athletics and student opportunity, the team will open its upcoming season with a multi-team exhibition event on Saturday, March 28, from 9 a.m. to Noon at Eagle Stadium, 700 Eagle Drive, DeSoto, TX.
Admission is free, and no tickets are required. Families, students, and community members are encouraged to attend and support these trailblazing athletes. The district will enforce tis Athletics Safety and Security protocols.
This special event and the girls’ flag football league are hosted and funded by the National Football League (NFL) as part of its national initiative to support and expand girls’ flag football, providing young women with increased access to athletic opportunities, leadership development, and competitive play.

The addition of girls’ flag football aligns with DeSoto ISD’s commitment to expanding athletic programming, fostering inclusivity, and providing equitable opportunities for student participation. The exhibition event will feature multiple schools, showcasing athletic skill, teamwork, and sportsmanship in a dynamic and high-energy atmosphere.
