DHS Salon Day Returns with a Holiday Twist – Paired with Culinary Arts Holiday Brunch and a Special Treat for Furry Friends
The DeSoto High School (DHS) Career and Technical Education Department is excited to announce the Holiday Edition of Community Salon Day, Brunch, and Puppy Wash scheduled for Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. This festive event will take place at DeSoto High School in the Eagles Bistro and the Cosmetology suite.
"Hosting these events for our community is an excellent way for our students to apply their classroom skills in real-world settings while showcasing the talent and professionalism of our Cosmetology program. Pairing this event with a holiday brunch makes it even more special for our community, " said DeSoto ISD Director of Career and Technical Education Melinda Pugh.
This special installment offers the community an opportunity to enjoy appointment-only professional salon services performed by DHS Cosmetology students under the guidance of their instructors, while also indulging in a delicious holiday-themed brunch prepared by our talented Culinary Arts scholars.

DeSoto FFA Pup N’ Wash
In addition to the toy drive, DeSoto ISD’s Future Farmers of America (FFA) chapter will host its Pup N’ Wash fundraiser from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at DeSoto High School (Academy Entrance), 600 Eagle Drive, DeSoto, TX.
For just $15, pet owners can treat their dogs to a premium bath, which includes:
- Full bath with natural shampoo
- Nail trim
- Ear cleaning
- Scented cologne
- 15-minute brush out
