“Career experience and exposure are foundational to preparing our students for what comes next,” said Melinda Pugh, Director of Career and Technical Education. “Events like CTE Super Saturday allow scholars to gain hands-on experience, refine technical skills, and see themselves in careers that inspire them. It also gives the community a chance to engage directly with our students’ learning.”
DeSoto ISD encourages students, families, staff, and community members to register in advance for each experience to ensure proper scheduling and safety.
CTE Super Saturday is part of the district’s ongoing commitment to connecting classroom learning to real-world application, helping students develop competencies that support college, career, and life readiness. This Spring installment continues the tradition of showcasing student talent, creativity, and innovation in an interactive, hands-on environment.
