The mission of the DeSoto ISD Special Education Department is to provide and serve students with disabilities and their families to create an all-inclusive educational environment.

Vision:

The DeSoto ISD Special Education Department will improve the educational experience for scholars with disabilities. Together we will be:   

Dedicated to servicing our scholars, staff, and community

Effective in our approach to identifying, evaluating, & servicing in the scholar’s areas of need

Service oriented in providing data-driven resources, instructional expertise, and quality customer service.

Organized in program planning and training our students for immediate and post-secondary needs.

Tenacious by ensuring our scholar are college, career, or military ready
