DeSoto ISD is pleased to announce the updated schedule for the Board of Trustees’ meetings throughout June and July 2026. These gatherings serve as a vital platform for communication between board trustees, district administration, and the local school community. This upcoming meeting series features critical sessions dedicated to the district's annual budget development, reviews of student achievement data, and regular district operations.
Summer Board Meeting Calendar
All meetings will be held at the Instructional Support Center (ISC) Boardroom, located at 200 E. Beltline Road, starting at the times noted below unless otherwise specified.
- June 8: Budget Workshop Part I
- Time: 6:30 p.m.
- Details: Initial review and planning sessions regarding the upcoming academic year's district budget allocations.
- June 9: Special Called Board Meeting
- Time: 6:00 p.m.
- Details: Discussion and potential action on specific administrative and urgent district operational matters.
- June 15: Budget Workshop Part II
- Time: 6:30 p.m.
- Details: Continued analysis and development of the district budget proposal.
- June 22: COMBINED (Data & Business) Meeting
- Time: 6:30 p.m.
- Details: Data-driven review of student performance alongside standard monthly business operations and district action items.
- June 29: Special Called Board Meeting (Budget Adoption)
- Time: 6:30 p.m.
- Details: Final review and official board consideration for the adoption of the upcoming fiscal year's budget.
- July 27: COMBINED (Data & Business) Meeting
- Time: 6:30 p.m.
- Details: Mid-summer review of student performance metrics and standard monthly district business operations.
The Board of Trustees remains committed to transparency and community engagement. At each of the regular meetings, public comments are welcomed on agenda and non-agenda items. All public comments must adhere to the timelines and policy as communicated by the school board procedures, which require requests to address the board to be submitted in-person before the start of the meeting.
