The Family Engagement Advisory Committee (FEAC) is a dedicated group of parents, caregivers, educators, and community members who come together to provide input, share ideas, and collaborate on how to strengthen family engagement across DeSoto ISD.
We believe that the best way to support our students is by actively listening to the families and communities we serve. This committee ensures that family voices are heard and considered in district planning, programming, and decision-making related to engagement.
What We Do
- Review and provide input on the Parent and Family Engagement Policy
- Collaborate on districtwide events and initiatives like Parent University
- Share feedback on family communication and involvement strategies
- Help shape a welcoming and inclusive environment in all schools
Meetings & Participation
- The committee meets quarterly
- Each meeting includes updates, planning discussions, and opportunities for feedback
- All members are encouraged to represent their campus or department and bring forward ideas and concerns from their community
