On Thursday, May 8, 2025, DeSoto
Independent School District hosted a vibrant evening of academic excellence
during its annual College and Career Fair, featuring the Talented and Gifted
(TAG) Students Research Showcase. Held in the Academy Cafeteria at DeSoto High
School, the event brought together joyful parents, excited students, and proud
district faculty for a celebration of innovation, creativity, and hard work.
TAG students from across the
district presented months of independent research through a variety of
impressive projects, showcasing critical thinking and curiosity across multiple
disciplines. From science and technology to social issues and the arts, each
project reflected the unique passions and perspectives of the young scholars.

exhibits with pride and admiration, engaging with student researchers who
confidently shared their findings and answered questions. The atmosphere was
