DeSoto Independent School District proudly recognizes the outstanding achievements of the DeSoto High School Boys’ Varsity Track & Field Team during the 2024–2025 season. In Head Coach William Henderson’s inaugural year at the helm, the team delivered a phenomenal performance, finishing 4th overall at the UIL 6A State Track & Field Championships, amassing 24 points—just eight shy of the state title.
Coach Henderson’s leadership and the unwavering commitment of his athletes brought a new energy to the program. Among the season’s highlights was a 2nd place finish in the 4x100m Relay, with the team clocking an electrifying 40.15 seconds—the second-fastest time in school history. The 4x200m Relay team also turned in an impressive performance, finishing 4th at State with a season-best time of 1:24.70.
