DeSoto Independent School District proudly joins communities around the world in observing World Autism Day on April 2, 2025. This annual observance aims to raise awareness about autism, promote acceptance and understanding, and support individuals and families affected by autism.

DeSoto ISD is committed to fostering an inclusive environment where all students are valued and supported. By observing World Autism Day, the district seeks to encourage meaningful conversations that promote awareness and inclusivity within our schools and the wider community.

DeSoto ISD Superintendent of Schools Dr. Usamah Rodgers expressed the district’s dedication to creating a supportive and accepting environment, stating, “At DeSoto ISD, we believe in embracing diversity and ensuring that every student feels valued. World Autism Day is an opportunity to show our support for students with autism and their families while reinforcing our commitment to inclusivity.”

DeSoto ISD remains dedicated to providing resources, support, and training to meet the diverse needs of students on the autism spectrum. The district encourages staff, students, families, and community members to join in promoting awareness and understanding on this important day.
