DeSoto Tennis Teams Dominate with Impressive Wins

The DeSoto High School Eagles tennis teams are soaring high after two dominating performances on March 5 and 6 in Alvarado, Texas and at home against Spruce High School. Led by Head Coach David Sturgeons, these student athletes showed they can handle any challenge that comes their way.
The DHS varsity tennis team proved it is a force to be reckoned with in a commanding victory over Dallas Spruce High School on March 6. The match, held at home, was an opportunity for the Eagles to show their dominance on their home turf — and they certainly did not disappoint.
From the very first serve, DeSoto made it clear that they were ready to defend their home court as the Eagles cruised to a 13-6 victory, securing a strong win that showcased their different styles and skillsets.
These scholar athletes displayed both skill and intensity on the court, never letting up and ensuring Spruce had no chance to rally. With this impressive victory under their belts, the varsity team looks to continue its momentum at the North Forney Invitational on March 21.
Meanwhile, the DeSoto junior varsity team traveled to Alvarado, Texas, on March 5, where it delivered stellar performance showcasing DeSoto athletic excellence. The young Eagles were determined to show that their talent is just as strong as their varsity counterparts — and they certainly proved it.
