DeSoto Independent School District and the Perot Museum of Nature and Science join forces to pilot live, digital experiences that aim to provide students the opportunity to take part in programming that enhances knowledge and the love of science.

As renowned STEM education experts in the DFW area, the Perot Museum education staff is an excellent community resource whose mission is to deepen knowledge and inspire a love of science,’ said DeSoto ISD Instructional Design Lead, Danielle Moore. “Located in the heart of Dallas and just a short drive or ride from DeSoto, the Museum also serves as a center for learning and growing.”

This collaboration between DeSoto ISD and the Perot Museum has been uniquely designed to provide real-time, interactive experiences that are TEK-aligned and serve to enhance core curriculum.

“The Perot Museum is thrilled to be collaborating with DeSoto ISD Science to pilot some of our first digital school programs,” said Karin Foronda, the Perot’s Senior Manager of School Programs. “Our team of educators will be presenting fun, standards-aligned content on topics from Atmospheric Adventures to SuperHero Science. We look forward to inspiring students to not only be excited about science but to generate interest in STEM careers!”
