Summer is here once again!
It is my hope that you and your students enjoy a relaxing, fun-filled summer vacation. If you are traveling, please travel safely. If you are staying around town, still be safe.
This year has been an extremely good year at West MS! Our two main accomplishments have been a decrease in discipline problems and an increase in grades and TAKS test scores! Although we do not have our over-all school rating yet, the early numbers are looking extremely promising.
Thank you to all the teachers, aides, students, and parents who helped in our endeavor to be a R.A.R.E. campus in our behavior and in our academics.
My staff and I are working hard this summer to prepare for an even more R.A.R.E. year in 2010-11. I look forward to seeing all the familiar faces again in August, as well as welcoming our new 6th graders.
