The "Lowe" Down

      This year promises to be the best ever for McCowan Middle School!  Can you believe we are home to 900+ students already!  And what a terrific bunch of students we have!  The first couple of weeks have been incredible.  We have a great team of teachers and staff members who are dedicated and committed to meeting the students' needs and providing the best educational experience for your child.  We give our students a solid foundation for further studies while encouraging each child to fulfill his or her potential. 

     Our students bring to our classrooms a variety of cultural, economic, and social backgrounds.  Therefore, it is our goal to reflect this great diversity within our staff, curriculum, and activities.

      Along with their academic subjects, the students will learn respect, tolerance and understanding as they prepare to meet the challenges of life. We embrace the philosophy of developing learned and responsible citizens for a global soicety and providing learning experiences that nurture the uniqueness of each child and promote happiness and success.

      It is important to me that you understand that I am 100% focused on ensuring that all children receive a comprehesive education in a positive learning enviroment while maximizing the social, emotional, physcial, and individual potential of every child in our school community. I will utilize my teachers. parents, and community organizations to make this vision a reality.
