Description: Current 8th-grade students who need to meet the requirements of the STAAR assessment, will engage in small group, targeted core instruction based upon students’ learning needs in Reading and/or Math.


ACE Summer Enrichment Program - Middle School

Description: DeSoto ISD ACE Summer Camp will focus on providing high-quality and engaging enrichment programming through 5 KEY components: Literacy - Social & Emotional Learning - Project Based Learning - College & Career Readiness - Parent Engagement Workshops

Best Buy Geek Squad

Description: Geek Squad Academy from Best Buy provides opportunities for students to develop tech skills, build self-confidence, spark curiosity, and discover how technology can benefit them in their educational pursuits in future careers. Students at Geek Squad Academy become “Junior Agents” and get hands-on experience with some of the newest and coolest technology. Local Best Buy employees help the Junior Agents explore areas like coding, film production, photography, 3D design, digital music, and much more.

G.R.E.A.T. Program (Gang Resistance Education & Training)

WHEN: June 3rd - 14th (Monday - Friday)  8:00 am - 3:00 pm

WHO: 5th - 7th grade students

Great Program Information

Description: The Gang Resistance Education And Training (G.R.E.A.T.) Program is an evidence-based, national and international gang and violence prevention program that has been building trust between law enforcement and communities for almost 30 years.

N.I.A. Kids

WHO: 24 slots - Current 6th, 7th, 10th & 11th grade students
