Troi obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Integrative Physiology from the University of Colorado. She obtained a Master of Science degree in Clinical Athletic Training from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania. She is certified through the BOC and Licensed by the state of Texas as an Athletic Trainer.
Troi worked with several specialties while at Bloomsburg University, including Geisinger Health System, Phoenix Rehabilitation, Central High School, and Bucknell University. While at Bucknell University, Troi worked primarily with football and track and field. She worked closely with orthopedic surgeons, team physicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide outstanding healthcare to athletes.
Troi began her professional career in July of 2013, as the Assistant Athletic Trainer of Bowie State University in Bowie, Maryland. BSU, an NCAA Division II school, offered Troi the opportunity to work with an array of athletes, including but not limited to football, basketball, softball, volleyball and track and field.
After 2 years at Bowie State, Troi, a DeSoto High School alumnus, graciously returned to DeSoto with her mentor Scott Galloway. Her goals are to elicit clinical-based care to the stellar student-athletes of DHS and to inspire student trainers to be quality healthcare professionals in the future. Troi is ecstatic to be a part of the best sports medicine team in Texas. Go DeSoto U!
