For the first time, the DeSoto ISD Gifted & Talented students from each elementary competed in Destination Imagination. For the first time, on February 25, 2017, they competed in the Dallas Region with other students from local public and private schools. Our students represented Desoto ISD with pride and excellence with the following results:

Ruby Young Elementary received 4th Place Overall EL-D Fine Arts Vanished. The students competing were as follows:

  • Abiba Moncriffe
  • Lourdes Queen

Woodridge Fine Arts received 11th Place in the 3-Peat Improvisations. The students competing were as follows:

  • Laila Harrell
  • Lauren Amador

The Meadows Elementary received an 11th place for Top Secret in the Improvisation 3-Peat competition. The students competing were as follows:

  • Jayden Blevins
  • Sydney Tennyson
  • Aniya Conners
  • Braedon Lewis

Northside Elementary tied for 13th place in Improvisation 3-Peat competition. The students competing were as follows:

  • Kennedy Brackens
  • Miranda Royal 

Cockrell Hill Elementary tied for 13th place in Improvisation 3-Peat competition. The students competing were as follows:

Frank Moates Elementary received a 14th place in Fine Arts: Vanished Competition. The students competing were as follows:
