The DeSoto Independent School District is excited to announce that our Eagles Football team has made it to the 2019 Texas High School Playoffs. The Eagles will play against Southlake’s Carroll High School at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, November 22, 2019, at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX.  

 

Early Dismissal

On gameday, ONLY students from DeSoto High School will be dismissed at 2 p.m. All DHS students are asked to make arrangements to leave campus immediately at the 2 p.m. dismissal time. The DeSoto ISD bus transportation will be modifying its schedule to accommodate students in need of bus transport. 


Elementary and middle school students will observe a regular school-day schedule. Elementary and middle schools will follow the normal bus schedules.

 

In addition to the high school early dismissal, DeSoto ISD Central Staff employees will be relieved of duties beginning at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, November 22, 2019. The Dalton L. James Administration building, located at 200 E. Belt Line Rd. will be closed at this time.  Regular campus staff will work their regular full-day schedules.

 

Tickets

Fans can purchase pre-sale tickets online starting Monday, November 18, 2019 via Seat Geek: Click here.  Tickets to the playoff game are $12 and everyone one-year-old and above must have a ticket to gain interest into the game. Additionally, tickets can be purchased at AT&T Stadium on game day for $15.  Only the Texas High School Coaches Association (THSCA) passes will be accepted. District 7-6A passes, employee IDs and Golden Eagle Cards will NOT be accepted.

 

Parking

There will be paid parking available at AT&T Stadium. Eagles fans are asked to use parking lots 5,6,7 and 11. The fee to park will be $10 if using a credit card and $15 if paying with cash.

 

Transportation to the Game

DeSoto ISD will offer fan buses to transport students, staff, and parents to and from AT&T Stadium. Students may sign up with Mrs. McDonald in the DHS Principal’s Suite in order to  ride the bus. AT&T Bag Policy

AT&T Stadium observes a clear-bag policy. In an effort to enhance public safety, AT&T Stadium has modified its security policy by limiting the size and style of bags allowed in the stadium. Prohibited bags include, but are not limited to:

  • All purses, bags or containers larger than a small clutch bag

  • Backpacks

  • Binocular case – Binoculars may be worn around the neck

  • Briefcases

  • Camera bags

  • Cinch bags

  • Computer bags

  • Coolers

  • Fanny packs

  • Luggage of any kind

  • Seat Cushions

Approved bags:

  • Clear Tote – Plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12″x6″x12″

  • Plastic Storage Bag – Clear, one (1) gallon, re-sealable

  • Small Clutch Purse – Approximately the size of a hand with or without a handle or strap. No larger than 4.5″ x 6.5″ with or without a handle or strap. It can be carried separately or within an approved plastic bag.
